Destiny African Kids
“Till Every Child’s got a Bosom to Lean On!”
Destiny African Kids started in 2006 as
we started sponsoring a little orphaned Sarah in school in Namungoona in Kampala
suburbs and later grew into an outreach of feeding the destitute children on
the streets of Kampala City and children’s orphaned homes.
While driving through the city street, Godfrey Mawa of Commission International
saw kids eat from the garbage. He was greatly moved and later, battled within
his heart on what he had seen. God strongly moved him to begin feeding them
with the little resources he had, once in a while and also help them find love
and a bosom to lean on, whenever. Till to date, he is feeding these children
with hot meals
VISION
Help restore the dignity of the little images of God.
MISSION STATEMENT
Till every child’s got a bosom to
lean on, food to eat, shelter to house them, clothes to put on, rehabilitation,
education and grow them into Godly, responsible citizens in society.
OBJECTIVES
To provide basic human needs, that’s
to say, food, shelter, medical care, clothing, education and counseling to the
little abandoned images of God.
To address the causes of the street kid problem looking at societies from which
they originate and lay down strategies for bettering family life in our
societies.
To grow a God-fearing, purpose driven generation that will lead society.
