"THE MESSAGE AND CRY FOR SOULS"
Let
the cross be raised again at the center of the market place, as well as on the
steeple of the church. "Jesus was no crucified in a cathedral between two
candles, but on a cross between two thieves - on the town heap, at the
crossroads - so cosmopolitan that they had to write His title in Hebrew and
Latin and Greek.

"The Son of God was crucified at the kind of place where the
cynics talk smut, where thieves curse, and where soldiers gamble. Because that
is where Christ died and, since that is what He died about, that is where
Christians can best share His message of love because that is what real
Christianity is all about." Let's take this message together and win the lost
for Christ Jesus! NOW is the TIME for the Harvest, for the Fields are READY!

Under
Commission International, operates the Evangelistic outreach which is involved
in reaching out to the lost and hurting with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The bible says in the book of (proverbs 11: 30), "that he that wins souls
is wise". Through the gospel harvest crusades, the gospel is preached and
thousands of people give their lives to Jesus Christ. These Gospel crusades,
are usually held in different places especially where people gather for
different activities for instances; market places, schools, trading centers,
junctions and other public places.
As Christians,
one of the major assignments that our Lord Jesus Christ left with us
was to be witnesses unto all the nations. In other words carrying the
message of the cross to the places where it places it belongs. The
message of the cross is the message of salvation to the lost. These
people are not found in churches and beautiful auditoriums but in
market places and other public places. The aim of this Harvest crusades
is to reach out to people in such places.
Usually the response is amazing as thousands of people turn to the Lord because every where people are looking for solutions to their problems. Jesus is the answer to the world today, and that is exactly what people want. As far as the gospel is concerned, Uganda has gone through a number of stages. There was the stage of revival where by the natives themselves sparked off the revival. Then came the season of persecution which saw many lose their lives for the sake of the gospel especially during tyrannical region of Idi Amin Dada. Then the church started to grow and firmly be established. Church planting became another phase that saw the rise of many churches.
However, as we go through all these stages, there is one wave that should never pass; that is the wave of winning souls to the kingdom. Wining souls is and will always be the Lord’s most profound heart-beat. That is why; each one of us is required to be a soul winner.
These gospel outreaches are done in such a way that, a group of evangelists map out a particular place and a number of missioners join the campaign. P.A systems are set up and people are gathered with the help of the leaders in that area and through the ministry of gospel music. At such moments, when the crowds attentive, then the message is relayed and the harvest is usually huge. The new converts are usually turned over to the discipleship team which takes over the work of grooming and establishing them in the word and training introducing the values and principles of Christianity.
The other way through which souls are won is through the “one on one” or commonly known as “door to door” method. This happens to be another very effective way because it involves creating rapport with the people and thereafter establishing a form of relationship which makes easy to introduce the gospel. Through this way of witnessing, one has a chance to explain many things to the non-believer before leading them to the Lord.
Usually, there are so many places to and sometimes the missioners are or they lack facilitation. Just like it is written in the bible that the harvest is big but the harvesters are few. The pitched crusades are usually very exciting as it involves stationing a platform on the mission truck in a given active area. This usually takes a maximum of 30 minutes which includes a few minutes of powerful praise, a testimony and a brief preaching where souls are invited to the alter to receive salvation.
However big and mega crusades are usually done especially in upcountry where regions where the need is great. This usually takes three to four hours with many people gathered from all around the near by places. Usually a team of members goes prior to the mission week to do spying and spiritual mapping of the entire area and to do serious publicity. This always involves the cooperation of the area local and political leaders who are always very helpful in influencing their people to participate in these gospel harvests.
