Sponsor a Missionary - You can personally support a full-time missionary

The amount needed to support each missionary varies according to location, and family status. Living costs are higher in the city. Missionaries in the cities need more support than those in rural villages. Missionaries with families also require more support than single individuals. Commission International seeks to find sponsors for missionaries at $40 or more per month. In most cases, this amount is not sufficient. However, we encourage our missionaries to work and supplement on any support given to enhance the missionary work. Where this is still insufficient, several sponsors are sought. When you choose to sponsor a missionary as an individual, church or organization, you will be assigned him/her for whom you can pray.

How to begin

To begin experiencing the joy of sponsorship, visit our Partnership page and become a partner. Or you can write to partnership@commission-international.org and receive your first assignment. You can also make a wire transfer to Commission International. We will then send you the biography of your sponsored missionary and an annual report and updates.

How your gift will be used

Your monthly gifts will be sent to the indigenous mission in charge of the one you sponsor. They will be combined with those of others to provide for the missionaries within their group.

Pray for your missionary

Pray each day by name for the person whose picture you hold in your hands. You will have the deep satisfaction of knowing that your gifts help meet the needs of that fervent missionary in an area where you probably could never go as a foreign missionary.

Your missionary may never know the one who sends his or her support - only that his or her needs are being met in answer to prayer. Missionaries only know that the Lord supplies their needs.

As a missionary of Commission International, enroll to raise support to help reach out with the gospel of love to the hurting and lost. The partners and money you raise will be brought to a pool, from which you will be supported as a group. You will receive online materials and notifications periodically on fundraising and Methods of Partnership Development (MPD) to help you with fundraising strategies. You are also entitled to benefit from workshops and conventions on the same.
